Everything your Secretary, Treasurer, Almoner and caterer need in one place — meetings, members, dining, attendance and accounts, without the paperwork. Built with working lodges in Worcestershire and beyond.
There is no charge to use Emulation Companion at present — every feature is included, with no card required and no invoice for your Treasurer. If a charge is ever introduced, lodges will be told well in advance. Separately, a lodge can optionally connect its own Stripe account to take card payments for dining and visitor bookings; that money goes straight to the lodge’s own bank account. See what it costs for details.
Nothing at the moment. There is no charge to use Emulation Companion, no card to enter and nothing for your Treasurer to settle.
We cannot promise that. If costs arise that have to be passed on — licensing ritual content, for example, would carry a fee — a charge may be introduced. If that happens we will tell every lodge well in advance, and no lodge would ever be billed without agreeing first.
Emulation means the endeavour to equal or excel in qualities or actions that one admires in another — from the Latin aemulari, "to strive to excel". The platform is named for that ambition: helping your lodge run as well as the best-run lodge you know. Emulation Companion is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Emulation Lodge of Improvement or any ritual publisher, and it does not provide ritual content.
Yes, if your lodge wants to. A lodge can connect its own Stripe account and collect card payments for dining and visitor bookings at the point of RSVP. The money goes straight to your lodge's bank account rather than through us, and the card fee is added to the payer's total so the lodge receives the full amount. It is optional — cash, cheque and bank transfer carry on working exactly as before.
Almoner welfare cases are confidential and restricted to the lodge Almoner. The Secretary can assign the Almoner role but cannot view case details.
