Officer progression and succession

Every lodge depends on the line: who holds which office this year, who steps up next, and whether anyone is about to be asked to take a chair they are not ready for.

Emulation Companion keeps that picture in one place, so progression is planned rather than discovered at the last minute.

The line at a glance

See the current officers and the order of progression toward the Chair. Members can see where they sit in the line and what is likely to come next, and the Secretary can see the whole picture when planning the year ahead.

Planning the year ahead

Progression is not automatic — brethren step aside, take a year out, or are not ready. Officers can be marked as opted out, and offices can be left open, so the plan reflects the lodge as it really is rather than a rigid ladder.

Nobody is forgotten

Attendance history and officer records sit alongside the progression view, so it is easy to see who has been carrying the lodge, who has drifted away, and who might be ready for more.
